Hello, I found this buckle whilst at the site of an old air field and second world war aircraft production site, about a year or so ago. I think it is a US parachute buckle but when I got it out again earlier I noticed what looks like an inspection stamp, 'MWS 2' in a circle and the numbers 246. I have attached some pictures, if anyone knows. Many thanks.

Looking like the WW2 T5 Harness Parachute buckles.. However the kind of them was used for other harnesses as well. Also the kind of the buckles is still using these days so not necessarily it is a WW2 relict. Additionally it may be not from a parachute harness too.

Thanks very much for your response! I hope it is a T5 parachute harness buckle as that would be exciting! The site was very industrial though so like you say could still be from something else.
