Hello.
I found a lot of small parts of a German plane in a Normandy field.
I would like to know if anyone of you would know what this part is ?
Thanks in advance.

Could be an inspection hatch. Why do you think it is German?
Hello.
because I found it with some other parts from a German plane (bomb holder with German engraving)
But it's maybe a coincidence and nothing to do with a plane...
I'm just curious to know.

Crashes avions 39-45 . Perhaps you can find if and what crashed there
Thanks !
I already made some research and I found some information (unfortunately not the plane model) in the village history book. This plane was shot the 7 June 1944 and crashed in the field in found it (the owner of this field is a friend and still the same family as in 1944)
I'll try your link. Thanks.

That is for allied planes. What village did it crash near?

"His last mission will be the 6th of June 1944 when Kuhn's JU88 during bombings of the invasion fleet is shot down over Lion sur Mer. Kuhn is reported KIA but is sole survivor of the crew and ends the war as a British POW "
Ouahh !!!!! Great !!!!
I'm so happy to discover this.
Can you share the link where you found this information ?
I'll send pictures of all the things I found.

I'll send pictures of all the things I found.
For example I found this distress socket.
So the pilot didn't die during the crash ?
That's so amazing !!!!
That means he shot this bullet after landing / crashing ?
That's so awesome !
Thanks a lot. As soon as I can I'll share all my pictures.

Well done Snautzer! Good stuff.

Also great pictures Starsys, interesting artifacts to go with the story.

You cannot imagine how happy I am to discover this story...
I was searching for years this spot with my son

So if I well understand :
- the pilot Kuhn, Franz-Josef was POW after crash ?
- the Bordfunker Fw Tauffenbach, Walter, was captured ?

That depends on the source. Matti has the loss list from the luftwaffe. Very dependable information. And now a warning. It could be that remains are still in the wreck. I do not know if the allies found this one. The same for ordenance on board.
