That depends on the source. Matti has the loss list from the luftwaffe. Very dependable information. And now a warning. It could be that remains are still in the wreck. I do not know if the allies found this one. The same for ordenance on board.

From the informations of my friend (the son of the field owner where the plane crashed), the wreck was removed after the crash. We only found few parts from the bottom of the plane.

Kuhn, Franz Josef Uffz 9/KG-54 Ju 88A-4 Werk # Unk "B3 + GT" (lost 6/6/44) Bomber Operational Clasp Opposed the Normandy Invasion attacking shipping, along with four others from his squadron. Added: MIA 6 June, 1944, crashed into Seine Bay, off the Normandy coast, cause unknown. Remaining crew unnamed, all MIA except the unnamed R/O listed as POW (D.Drury).

Can you please explain me what does that means "except the unnamed R/O listed as POW (D.Drury). " ?

This is info from the kracker career site. Here you can find if a person won a medal of sorts. For all german arms.
So kuhn won an award before death, was flying with Kg 54, 9th staffeln and in a ju 88A-4 coded B3+GT code ( code i.g on fuselage.) 3 crew members are still missing. Now it is posible they jumped before impact an drowned and were never found. Happened a lot.

For example I found this distress socket.
So the pilot didn't die during the crash ?
That's so amazing !!!!
That means he shot this bullet after landing / crashing ?
That's so awesome !
Thanks a lot. As soon as I can I'll share all my pictures.

I don't think we can conclude that the flare was shot by a survivor of the crash. It could easily have ignited from a fire related to the crash.

OK
"R/O" stands for "Radio Operator" ? Name "D.Drury" is just a supposition ?

Thanks !
Some more pictures.

I'll share some picture of the Antenna, electric wires, gears, and buttons I found.
I will also continue searching deeper...

I still don't know what thes hatches (from my first post post on this forum) are. I found 3 of them.

It's really an incredible experience. Thanks for your help.

When you do make any numbers on it as good as it gets. It will help enoermouly to find out what and where it was.

.
The hatches are inspection/maintenance hatches. Some are with quick release others are with bolts. yours is i think a quick release or in german Schnellverschluss

There were many. But as you say you only found bottom parts i would go for the ones under the plane.

Really cool to have this documentation !
It really seems to be part of the plane ! I'm so happy.
These hatches are square ones, so maybe number 34.
I think the documentation is not detailed enought to have a detailed view of each hatch ?

One of the 3 I found is completly twisted (it requires huge force to twist such a metal part). So maybe damaged during the crash.

Perhaps next time a rular along the debry.
Seize can be very decieving.

I still have some more few things (ex: a bronze buckle).
I'll send pictures later.
From my opinion :

1 : bullet loader
2 : strapping ? (was with number 1)
3 : antenna
4 : was with the bomb holder
5 : rest of life vest.
6 : No idea at all. Pinched tube. i didn't open it.
7 : kind of wire plug
8 : Jerrican cap (bronze)
9 : part of cabin
10 : electro magnet to release bomb ? (was with bomb holder)
11 : electrical wires (was with bomb holder)
12 : no idea. Some hard to read engraving on it.
13 : Maybe nothing to do with the plane. Was far from other parts.
14 : hatches

I forgot to take picture of the black dial near number 6.
I'll do it later.

Some more parts.

Wonderful discoveries, but be sure to use caution when handling the unspent machine gun cartridges, as they are still capable of discharging and will be unstable due to corrosion.
