I would want very good pictures of the 211J supercharger and a good technical description before saying it used a Polikovskiy type Throttle Body, It did use guide vanes in the supercharger inlet. They rototated with the impeller on some models (all?) but they did not pivot and close off the opening like the Polikovskiy type Throttle Body.

older 211 supercharger
supercharger_before.jpg

guide vanes do not touch the outer case and appear (although the area is dirty) not to have a way to pivot in place like the 213 supercharger shows.
jumo-213_3-jpg.jpg

In fact if you look closely the 213 supercharger appears to have curved inlet guide vanes behind the throttle plates which clearly show their outer pivot points.

Yes, I see what you mean.

Yes, I see what you mean. This version of the 211 just seems to have a fixed swirl type throttle body. Though it must have been inspired by the design.
Maybe an early type (?)
It was difficult enough finding these photos but when I have time I'll see if there are more available.

No versions of the Jumo211 have any form of Swirl Throttle. It has a barell throttle, the supercharger has three "posts" which merely serve to support the impeller nose bearings, and the blades underneath are just those of the actual impeller itself.

One can also deduce this from the shape of the power curves, which retain the "sawtooth" pattern of gear driven superchargers without any form of swirl throttling.

FYI, might be worth editing your post, your photos of the Jumo213 are not just from "the internet" they are from the Smithsonian, who are rather picky about copyright and usage.....

Below is my own photo from the 211A service manual (you can tell its mine because its a terrible photograph..haha)
