Could anyone lead me to information on the P-47D 'Gabreski' aircraft color scheme ie. rocket color, pitot tube color, round drop tank color etc.? As well as other colors?

Thanks to Fubar 57 for the Exhaust info. I'm building a balsa wood P-47D. I know, I know, who invited this guy, right? I grew up assembling 12" wingspan balsa wood airplanes. Not much until now. Right now however, I'm fascinated with WW2 military aircraft. I have built a P-51, and now the P-47. The P-47 ( both with wingspans of 30" or more ) has totally fascinated me. Given the time period, who and how do you get over 7 tons in the air and be able to make it an all purpose war machine, and still knock down fighter airplanes?

Fubar, do you know how I can get somewhat close color photos or drawings of the P-47. I want to make my P-47 model as close to 'Gabreski's' as possible. I'm trying to get colors of the belly of the P-47. Thanks
