Hi!
New guy here, just came across this blade. I know it came of a plane…a big one… other than that, this is not my area of expertise. I was wondering if anyone could help or knew any information about it. Thanks in advance!

Matt

According to my notes and the list of prop and governors from May 1945 it is a Curtiss DWG. No. 814-3C3-18 blade. The model of the prop blade was used for RB-26, RB-26A,TB-26, JM-1, B-26B-1/3/4/10, B-26C,F and G ( also could be on the C-46) with the prop assy hub C543S series with the R-2800-43 engine for a prop of diameter 13ft 6in.

Alos see the thread and the post .... B-29 propeller blade?

Exactly what I thought!!! Thank you! So that would lead some credence to this being a B 26 blade perhaps?

Yes it would. I couldn't find any other aircraft the blade would be used for.

Thank you very much, Guise. I really really appreciate that. Also the quickness in which you helped out. I am always on a Colt forum. Aunty can Guns are my thing, and the guys are just as nice. Although if you ask them to identify and value of Gun, you better hold onto your britches because they can be brutally honest…!!! Thanks again happy holidays
