Boeing XB-29 Superfortress "The B-29 wing was tested in flight by substituting quarter-sized B-29 wing mockups for the regular wings of a Fairchild PT-19A trainer (serial number 41-20531)."
Fairchild PT-19A 41-20531 accepted 2 March 1942, engine 41-51547, delivered 12 March to Boeing Seattle, seems to have stayed there until to Troutdale Oregon 13 March 1945, scrapped 5 April. If I read the card correctly about 46 hours of flying, about 21 while still with Fairchild.
The photograph caption is a little misleading as the first XB-29 first flight was on 21 September and the second XB-29 on 28 December 1942, which means prototype construction was well underway in March 1942.
