RAF Rivenhall

I am currently doing some research on an abandoned airfield in Rivenhall, Essex. It opened in October 1943 as an American air base for the US Army Air Force with a fleet of P.51 Mustangs.
The RAF did not move in until later in the war for Operation Varsity - the airbourne operation for crossing the River Rhine. Hundreds of Horsa Gliders were stationed there as well as Stirlings. I have a lot on information for the American side of its history, but I am looking for more information on the RAF side. I welcome any information or guidance offered.
