hi again,
last week an old friend gave me a box in which "his father had put parts from German aircraft, that he had removed in 1944 in Valence airfield (South if France), on wrecks on the airfield".
Please have a look .
I think that many are from bomb containers and also Ju88 (I recognize "88" markings on airframe") .
your thought ?
Gilles

Ju-88 ... humm... It looks that could be . As memo serves there was a request for a similar part of the Fl. 50200 number some time ago on the forum ... I mean the Schloßeinsatz 2000/XIII B. But it was of the B2 type but here it is of the B1. And it was assosiated with the plane type IIRC. The colour of many parts here indicates the RLM66 what was used for the cockpits by Germans at that time. However it looks like a mix of pieces from different planes.

For instance .. the parts look like these used for the Ju-88D-1.

ju88D_3.jpg

But the one doesn't seem to fit the D-1 variant. But the fourth lever may be hidden behind the three ones seen in the pic.
ju88_f.jpg

but it fits for the A-4 with the VS11 prop. So it looks like all the Ju-88s with the prop type that was set manually by the levers using the hydraulic pressure, had the set of levers. The VDM props were set by electric motors and required the different lever system.

To sum up... IMHO that's a Ju-88 pieces. Not sure if all are from the one plane ( it looks like there aren't ). Certainly it doesn't mean the parts couldn't be used for other different planes. But as I have said ... generally that's the Ju-88.

Thanks Wurger. I am in line with you , all the more as we have an airframe part with "88" marking , look :

Actually the marking "88" may have nothing in common with the Ju-88. Just it can be a coincidence and as memo serves Germans didn't mark aircraft parts in the way. Anyway I'm sure these are the Ju-88 parts.

The one also has the code 8-88 ..

OK. The part " Fl.22575-2 Abtriebshebel links " worked with the steering machine for course control K4u ( Fl.22574 Rudermaschine für Kurssteuerung K4ü ). It was used for multi-engine aircraft with the device that was made by the Simenes. Also for the Ju-88.

Actually, where the number on an item is the Gerat-Nr (equipment number) in the RLM list (Typenliste des RLM), then the usual number starts with a code number, a dash, then the parent (original design) RLM number, then the manufactures partlist code group, then a dash and a sub-group number. Here, we have 8-88.916-211 .
The first 8 means it is an Airframe item. The 88. means an RLM list code 88 (a Ju88 part). The 916- is the main group in the partslist. The 211 is the specific item in the partslist group of 916.
As we know, this can be misleading and I have seen instances where the dashes are replaced by dots or simply spaces. Here, this is obviously a plate illustrating the electrical wiring of the item that this plate was fixed to, and it carries the RLM List code as well. Again, the 211 number here is possibly misleading, because it is normally the minor part number but, it is not impossible that it references the item as compatible with the 211 engine powered version.
Cheers

Hi, The "A" shape bracket in the middle of the third photo of the first post has these numbers I see, 8887230201 35079.
This is very slightly spaced to give, 8 88 723 020 1 3507 9.
With some standard RLM type marking it would be, 8-88.723.020.1 3507.9 .
So, 8- Airframe, 88. RLM type (Ju88), 723. partslist main section code, 020. sub part (of 723), 1 first revision/type/oversize.
The 3507.9 number is the material spec. Most castings have the material spec marked on them.

So, has anyone got a JU 88 Ersatzteilliste with the Baugruppen 723 and including the part 723.020 and/or 723.020.1 ?

Cheers

Hi,
The Rudermaschine 24V 310W Data plate is another interesting variation. Here, this major item has a description title.
Then, there is the BAUART SAM-LSR 4u-3 , which is the makers technical term for the piece of equipment.
Next, the Gerat is 127-221 A-1 . Here the RLM code is 127- (the type of equipment), and 221 A-1 is the RLM code for the model.
Also, Fl 227574 is the specific aircraft part id in the Fl parts reference number list.

Hi,
Many BOSCH parts carry these types of plates. The large BOSCH plate shows the Bosch name for the item (the "BAUART") and also includes technical details.
The smaller plate shows the RLM equipment type code 19- , and the 5718A is the specific item/version.
The Fl number, E 571801 is the Fl code of this item and the Werk-Nr is the production serial number.

A bit of info over how this part of the supply train worked in the German Armies. : there were Fl series that covered a specific part of the plane. I.g. FL20000 to 20999 triebwerkuberwachungs gerate FL number being nothing meer then an order number, the FL number or LN number
These FL numbers were then organized in a catalogues. So following the fl number one one would pic up the right catalogue flip to right fl number and look at the drawing for gerat nr supplier. The drawing is exact with measurements.
