I wonder if there is anybody out there who can help us.
I am a restorer working on HP Halifax at the YAM, and need either detailed drawings of or information as to where there might be a small bombs container as fitted to the Halifax et al.
We have the basic case, but need to make divider plates and electromagnetic release switches
I have seen this
on this site, but it does not contain enough detail.

Thank you - yes I have this illustration, but need much more detail.
Ideally original plans (unlikely) or an example to measure and reverse engineer.

I have nothing on them but the Australian War Memorial (AWM) appears to have at least one SBC (which may be incomplete like yours). You could contact them. There was one recovered from a crash site in PNG recently and that may have gone to the AWM or to the PNG WM. I have a photo somewhere and will contact the person who sent it to me for identification and see what he knows.

https://ibccdigitalarchive.lincoln.ac.uk may be worth a call - they have a lot of miscellaneous documents that have been donated.

Otherwise all I can suggest is going through the document catalogues at PRO, IWM, RAFM and the NASM (Smithsonian).

EDIT - I looked in AP 1661 instead 1664 earlier. I will post 1664 later today.

EDIT 2 - Sorry the person who supplied it to me will not allow me to post it but I can PM the diagrams to L Labman . PM sent

Did you get my reply - if not, thank you very much for the useful info you sent. I have also contacted the AWM

Have you tried Nanton (Bomber Command Museum)? Not sure if it's the carrier you are looking for but they have a light bomb carrier on the Anson Mk II they are restoring:

Thank you Scott.
This is not the type I am researching.
