I think the person who advised you that the Mk IIIB 24 hour clock was used by Coastal Command was pretty close to the mark as both Hudsons and Beauforts were used by CC.

I was hoping to find an image of the click in a Hudson or Beaufort but they seem to have a different click all together, coastal command does make sense though.
The same chap tells me they were used in photo reconnaissance spitfires and he's restoring one and using the same clock, I just though as the only images I could find were in a Blenheim different aircraft I thought that was closer, keep me posted if a photo does appear if the clock in any ww2 aircraft, you've both been very helpful and taught me a lot and it's been a lot of fun learning.
