Once my instructor and I went up in a Cessna 150, only to have them call us on the radio and ask we come right back. My instructor took the controls and landed, knowing that the aircraft had just come out of maintenance and they had found something. Turned out they had left the valve core out of a new tire they had installed. They fixed the problem without us getting out of the airplane. We took off and on the next landing the flaps stuck down and would not come back up; we decided to call it a day.

My instructor said, "The most dangerous airplane is one tat has just come out of the shop." And I have had that demonstrated to me multiple times since then.

Good luck to them fixing that fabulous old bird.
