Hi all. I wanted to share something I've been building: Squadron CO.
It's a game of command, not flying. You're the CO of a Hurricane squadron in Kent in the summer of 1940. Before each scramble you read the controller's plot, choose who flies, who leads each section and who flies as whose wingman, and decide how to go at the bombers. Your pilots tire, lose their nerve, make friends and rivals, become aces, or don't come back. Between operations come the decisions: a man at the end of his tether, a boy who has arrived with nine hours on type.
The operations follow the real raids day by day; the squadron and its pilots are fictional. It's all typed orders, combat reports and wartime photographs.
The Battle of Britain campaign, set in the crisis weeks from mid-August to 15 September, is free and plays in your browser, on a computer or a phone, with no download and no sign-up: squadroncogame.com
I designed the scenario, events, pilots traits, scoring system, all balances. I used AI for pilot portraits and actual coding, as well as testing and a few clearly identified illustrations in some of the campaigns.
I'd really like to hear what you think.
