I know this video will piss off some people who prefer to believe that Packard did not have to Americanize and improve the Merlin engine to produce the V-1650, but the details provided are utterly convincing.

There are multiple errors in the first minute, the worst being the statement that Packard transformed a hand-fitted luxury engine into a mass-produced engine.

Really? This was August of 1941. This thread has details of Merlin production:

UK Merlin Production Figures | Aircraft of World War II - WW2Aircraft.net Forums
https://ww2aircraft.net/forum/forum/threads/uk-merlin-production-figures.53485/post

Almost 46,000 Merlins were built in the UK up to the end of 1941…Packard had made just 45. How on earth can a production run of 46,000 units across 4 separate factories be considered either hand-crafted or "luxury" (whatever the hell that means in the context of a military aircraft engine)?

Why do we have to keep going over this old ground again and again. The relationship between RR and Packard was mutually beneficial, with new ideas going in both directions across the Atlantic.

Agree the video is AI slop.

Not even going to let this turn into an argument.
