Agree! Sure do like the Jug… He didn't mention turbo-compounding which was the last development in radial power enhancement. Didn't get into any WW2 planes. The B-29 was too early for them, but got into the Douglas and Lockheed airliners.
 
The F4U-1 has a better climb-rate at lower altitudes than the P-47
