I do agree with you that (from what I am hearing you say) Greg appears to be flawed in his research. I will be more careful with it moving forward. I just think IMO there are better ways to phrase it, even if his research methods do appear to be worthy of criticism. I agree that truth about performance is important.

Popular does not make it correct. Martin Caidin was a popular writer.

He was a gifted writer and I just reread his Marooned.

But some of his facts in various books have come under question.

I'd suggest reading books rather than watching vids. The written word has much more depth.

Of course, it requires much more time, as a result.

Vids are a fun way to kill 20-40 minutes, but the time-compression means that facts get glossed over and rhetoric is much harder to spot.

Dude, same here. He certainly had me convinced. I started reading posts here bringing up a lot of points that refuted Greg's position. Many of the folks here that post on the Forum are extremely knowledgeable. Some are published and peer reviewed. I realized that Greg might not be correct and I would have no way of knowing it. I stopped watching his videos.
Full disclosure: I thoroughly enjoyed his presentation on the Wright Brothers.
