John Vasco submitted a new resource:

ZERSTÖRER The combat history of the Messerschmitt 110 in 1940 - Aircrew accounts, combat details, regarding the Bf 110 in 1940

Publisher's blurb:
Here at Wing Leader, we don't publish 'celebrity' authors. Instead we prefer to stick with the specialist historians who have been studying their subject for decades. The ones who have travelled across Europe interviewing veterans from both sides. The ones who have all the official records to hand, and who have the knowledge to understand how to use them. And most importantly, the ones who really know what happened in the summer of 1940.

Doing fine, brotha. Is your band still active?
The band is. I finally retired from gigging in September 2022 after being hospitalised for a week with sepsis and a kidney infection. I had always said that if a major health scare crossed my bow I would call time on gigging. Can't complain - I had a good run. Started in January 1969 in the night clubs of Liverpool, and played many of the venues that the Beatles and Merseybeat groups played in, including the original Cavern. So, lots of wonderful memories, and loads of photos.

Book is now printed. I'll get a batch early next week for me and Peter to sign, then off south next Friday for the launch on Saturday 27 Sep at the Kent Battle of Britain Museum in Hawkinge.

A review of the book by 'Bombphoon' on another aviation forum:

'Wow. That was the weekend gone then - and I got precious little done because my copy of Zerstorer arrived.

'I also have the previous version of the book, so did I really need another? One simple flick through absolutely said 'yes' and that I had made the right choice.

'This is an examplary piece of work by John Vasco & Peter Cornwell. The sheer amount of rare photos, detail, words, interviews and information is jaw-dropping, making it the definitive and final word on the Bf 110 in 1940.

'Asides from the astonishing amount of research and work that clearly went into it, the thing I'll take away from the book is how disastrous it all was: the pages and pages of loss and damage tables and the never-ending portraits of deceased young men who, what the late Dr Michael Mosley termed 'died badly', due to Hitler and Goering's commands is sobering.

'If you ummed and ahhed about forking out for the cover price, fear not - it's well worth it: over 300 packed pages in high-quality design with plenty of new images and info.

'Thoroughly recommended.'
