Shown here is a dramatic air-to-air shot of a Lancaster B.Mk.III of No.619 Sqd, based at Coningsby, during a practice flight, 14th February, 1944. The only difference between the Lancaster Mk.I and the Mk.III was the use of Packard-Merlins in the latter.
