Boeing B-17G-DL Flting Fortress

Shown here is B-17G-DL Flying Fortress, (42-38113), 'Rene III', standing outside their Long Beach factory. This aircraft was the 1,000th B-17 to be built by Douglas. She was delivered to the USAAF on 16th December, 1943 and assigned to the 457th BG.
