British Light Armoured Train

Shown here is the light armoured train operated by the 6th Batt. Somerset Light Infantry and equipped with a 14 mm (0.55 in) Boyes anti-tank rifle and two 7.7 mm (0.303 in) Lewis Mk.I machine-guns. This light armoured train was made-up of the 4-8-2 locomotive 'Hercules' and two hopper wagons formerly operated by the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Light Railway Company.
