Depicted here is Dornier Do 24 of the Royal Netherland Navy after sighting the Japanese invasion fleet off Kuching, British North Borneo, 23rd December, 1941. By chance she spotted the Dutch submarine K.XIV on the surface. After reporting the enemy's position, the sub engaged the enemy sinking two merchant ships and damaging two others.
