Shown here is a F4F-4 Wildcat that was en-route to Henderson Field on Quadalcanal being lifted on-board the USS Long Island (ACV-1) from the USS Kitty Hawk (APV-1), on the 28th August, 1942, at Fila Harbour, New Hebrides.
