  A couple of the net sources say these Freccias were of the unknown training unit or Gruppo Complementare. However one source states that these were of the 167a Squadriglia. The pic was taken in 1942. There is a couple of shots more with these kites in. The foreground Fiat G.50 is the "Red 90"...

  This is B-29 42-24853, Listed as 24 April 1945 Iwo Jima. Aviation Safety Network states that it crashlanded on return from bombing raid, hit 9x P-51, wrote-off at least 2. Says. 11 crew , all Died. No MACR report as it was on friendly airfield.
