Shown is the A/S trawler HMS Northern Dawn, under repair on the slips for ice damage, Nova Scotia, 1942. Originally built in Germany for Unilever's fishing fleet, she was requisitioned by the Royal Navy in September, 1939. later she was transferred to the US Navy in 1942 and continued to serve under original name.
