Shown here is a NIKI Kyofu (Mighty Wind) fighter seaplane drawn up on the hardstanding and resting on its beaching gear. The NIKI seaplane fighter had such a remarkable performance that Kawanishi developed from it the land-based NIKI-J Shiden (Violet Lightning).
