Shown here is a KIIW1 Navy Operations Trainer Shiragiku (White Chrysanthemum) Model 11 bearing surrender markings. in the armament training role the Shiragiku carried a single rear-firing 7.7 mm (0.303 in) Type 92 MG and two 30 kg (66 lb) bombs, but late in the war the aircraft was modified to carry a single 250 kg (551 lb) for Kamikaze duties. An all-wood version the K11W2 was built in small numbers and saw limited service as autility transport and ant-submarine aircraft.
