Shown here are early-production MC 200 Saetta (Lightning) Serie I aircraft (note enclosed cockpit which was later deleted) with the Cucaracha (Cockroach) device on the rear fuselage identifying them as belonging 371 Squadriglia, 22 Gruppo of the 52 Stormo, deployed at Ciampino in 1940 for the defence of Rome.
