Shown here is Spitfire F.Mk.IXC, AH-O, (BS248), of No.332 (Norwegian) Sqd leaving the disperal area at North Weald in July 1943. The large cannon blister on the wing was a feature of early 'C' wing on the Mks.V and IX. Strangely this aircraft remained with its sister (BS249), all through the war.
