Although the aircraft in the foreground is wearing the codes of No.501 Sqd, it is actually Mk.IIA (PB789) belonging to No.118 Sqd, a presentation Spitfire with the title of 'Borough of Wanstead and Woodford' The real SD-E is being flown by Flt. Lieut. C F 'Bunny' Currant in the background.
