Aircraft of this type were used operationally by Nos.36 and 100 Sqds against the Japanese in Burma until Singapore fell in 1942
Slight misidentification on this one...it's a Westland Wapiti and not a Vickers Vildebeest. The 'Beest is a single-bay biplane whereas the Wapiti is a 2-bay biplane. Also, the Vildebeest was a torpedo plane. There's no way the above airframe could drop a torpedo due to the axle connecting the wheels.
