Shown here are Waffen-SS men in a Warsaw street during the suppression of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising in April/May 1943. The leader of the operation was SS-Brigadefuhrer Jurgen Stroop (pictured in the centre of the pic). He was later executed by the Poles in Warsaw in 1951.
