Shown here with Mount Fuji in the background is a formation of K5Y1 Navy Type 93 Intermediate Trainers on a formation-flying training exercise. These aircraft carried an armament of one fixed forward-firing 7.7 mm (0.303 in) Type 89 MG, and one flexible rear-firing 7.7 mm (0.303 in) Type 92 MG. It also carried two 30 kg (66 lb) or ten 10 kg (22 lb) bombs.
