N - I am in at least weekly contact with Warren P. What were you responding to? The post you directed me to was one I posted in which Peglar gave me his personal summary of Spit vs Mustang (and Tempest) based on his own experiences. He was on exchange from RCAF and flew my father's wing on quite a few missions while with 355th in summer, 1944.

Peglar is a retired VP with Bell Telephone living in Toronto.. and has a great sense of humor.

it doean't have a pic of his P40 but there are other dudes one in particular with both SQN Letters and sedial number
