what I can find so far of RN ships lost in ww2 is 61 to surface ships,56 to subs,77 to aircraft,and 54 to mines of those lost to surface ships,only 9 was lost to gunfire. this is something i'm now looking in to.

I reading this virtualpilots.fi: WW2History-MeAndTheGustav.html and had a bit about the slats causing alot of problem on landing.so could it be the slats and not the undercarriage,which caused most of the landing accidents.

what I got for 109 pilot's made POW from July to October 1940 is 264,and for killed is 197, I don't know if that's any help also what I got for Spitfire pilot's killed is 148 Hurricane pilot's killed is 214 and for Bf110 crew is 229 POW and killed is 184
