I was reading decal instructions for an FW190 A-8 (Dortenmann's FW190A-8 Red 1), and noticed that this machine had a standard canopy (ie not 'blown') that had no antenna roller/pulley.I am aware of other a-8s with the standard canopy that had this too, I think 'Kolle alaaf!' of JG 300...
When did the RAF start equipping its Spitfires and Hurricanes with two step pedals to help counteract Blacking out during tight turns. I think they were standard from the factory by early 1941 but were they retro fitted to service fighters earlier.
Does there exist a document that describes the flight characteristics in the Fw-190V27 aircraft with the long 12.3m wing instead of the standard 10.5m wing? I would like to know how much the longer wing with increased wing area of 20.3 sq/m vs the standard wing are of 18.3 sq/m affected things...
