1 PRU Spitfire Squadron Letters

Hi All,

I've been trying to work out the correct colour of the 1 PRU letters (LY) on their early PRU Spitfires. I'm building a 1 PRU Spitfire for a friend and I appreciate any help/pictures that would help.

I would say a light grey colour that is most probably to be the the medium sea grey.

I was erring more towards sky, but it's hard to tell from black and white pics.

I'm with Wurger. I can't check to confirm, but memory says Medium Sea Grey codes.

A colour profile I had in a book (in the 1980s) had LY codes in White on a Humbrol 31 overall finish... no idea how accurate (or not) that was.

Thanks, Guys. Looking at B&W photos of early 1 PRU Spitfire letters they look darker than white, so I'm going with the medium Sea grey.
