Actually, I don't think rolling pins have ball bearings. Maybe simple journal bearings. Ball bearings probably collect germs.

That is a traditional application of rolling pins. Note the lack of delicate bearings to get damaged in the process.

I am active in an online engineering forum. Someone proposed to design a metal rolling pin with bearings for his wife.
