Wondering why this thread got locked?

The poster provided information for an apparently useful reference book describing the myriad Wellington mods and serial numbers. Having his first post on this forum locked for trying to be helpful seems a little unjust to me.

I got the feeling that he was hoping for clarification on aircraft that had received in-service modifications and been re-designated. Not an unreasonable request if so, and maybe the start of an interesting thread.

Not being a Wimpy expert, I can't add anything.

It is locked for a while. I'm waiting for his replay clarifying finally the purpose of the posting. It needs to be moved to the correct section because the one it was sent doesn't fit. I'm sure his help is very useful but die Ordnung muss sein.
