Good evening,
The museum I volunteer at has recently been sent an original photograph and a data plate relating to the crash of A Ju88A-1 shot down on 21st August 1940 near Stockbridge in Hampshire. I am preparing them for display and was wondering if anybody could help with identifying the actual assembly the plate is from? I believe it is propeller related as it is a VDM item. The details are:- 'Baumuster' Assembly? 8-88.200 and the Werk-Nr. is 2103 H.K.2. I have a copy of an original drawing which shows where all the different data plates on a JU88 VDM propeller are located but not the numbers on the plates! Although not very clear the shape, an elongated rectangle approximately 73mm x 18mm resembles the one on the spinner assembly. Does anybody have any ideas?

That is not an original drawing for your piece. It is an explanation for how different bau gruppen are divided into parts.

See below i.g. FW190. VDM is notorious difficult to get an hold of. The page or pages you have were first posted on the now defunct LEMB and put in a pdf by me.

Good evening,
Many thanks for getting in touch. The page you've posted is very helpful, do you have a similar one for the Ju88 as the '200'group is not present on the Fw190 page?

Many thanks for the pictures Woodhaven, I was obviously led astray by the VDM on the plate! They must have also manufactured the U/C Legs as well. We have two Ju88 U/C Legs on display in the museum, next time I am down there I shall check them for data plates, it might narrow down the particular item on the assembly!
Once again thanks for your help!
Regards, Mark.
