After the crashed Zero(V-172 serial #3372) had been carted off the beach at Leichou coast to the inland city of Liuchow. Chinese mechanics repaired and repainted 3372. During the journey the fuselage vent panels were lost, so Chinese mechanics fabricted new ones with louvers, two intakes above the fuselage gun deck and a fairing on the fuselage gun ports.
