And the wing construction in the Fw 190 is unlike any other wing I have ever seen. Very strange, but effective.

A P-38 at the speeds the graph requires to go to 120deg/sec would have lost elevator control and be over its allowable Mach number. Most of those fighters would be in compressibility trouble at the high IAS speeds mentioned except at low altitudes.
