Did any of y'all look at the WWII vintage Air Combat Info Manuals that were provided here a while back? I guess they were produced locally in the Pacific.

It has a summary of aircraft performance, including:

P-39Q: Time to 25,000 ft = 10 min

P-38G: Time to 25,000 ft = 14 min

Da what? Does that include the time for the P-38 pilot to have lunch first?

By the way, sometimes they give speed in mph and sometimes in knots.

The time to climb for the P-38G is with drop tanks.
