Good Morning all,
I'm trying to identify a airframe fragment from a Messerschmitt Bf 109.
Whilst it is partly folded, a lot of the black text is visible which I believe says:
"Beim Lander Bei....
Sicherung im(?) Stocksch...(lossen?)"
Possibly "At take off and landing secure locking catch" (apologies to any German speakers, my translation could be miles off!)
I'm wondering if this may be referring to the landing gear or possibly the cockpit canopy, Albeit this seems more like an instruction to the pilot, rather than ground crew?
Can anyone shed anymore light on this piece?
