With the bizarre idea of of mounting a small fighter on a 'war weary' heavy, laden with explosives, the German Mistel composites caught quite a few by surprise.

On a similar line ...I've got a vague idea that once upon a time, there was an plastic kit that could be brought of a Ju88 and 190 ?, made by Revell ?

Almost but not quite on Mistel lines was the American 'Aphrodite' missions with B-17's converted to cabriolet status and jammed full of explosives and radio control stuff. Reliant on a two man crew to take off and then bale out once radio control had been passed to an escorting plane.

Did the allies have any ideas on the same lines ?
Was there any intention to try / follow along on similar lines ?
What would / could they have used ?
