Hi, I too keep a keen eye out for such projects.
As far as I know. There's
1. 75% scale bf109C flying

2. 100% scale bf109E under construction.

Both are based of Marcel Jurcas plans.
3. Spitfire 100% Allison 1730 engine. Steel tube frame and aluminum body with wood wings. 350+mph

2 flying examples bob defords in Arizona and another French one

4. Spitfire 75% several flying by M jurca plans
5. Spitfire 80% Bruce's 80% Spitfire Project
6. Lots of p51.. Jurca Gnatsum - Wikipedia

Avions Marcel Jurca

Marcel's designs are either all wood or tubular frame, aluminum skin fuselage and wood wings. I am aware only the spitfire is fully developed for 1200+ horse power with Allison or Hispano v12 engines

A carbon fiber p51 at 85% in development.. search fusion aeronautics 85% carbon51 power likely a v8 or v10 engine 350+HP and higher. They also developed the sw51 at 70% now sold by an Austrian company. ScaleWings p51

All aluminum 75% titan 51. Short non scale wings. I heard they had a true to scale wing for high speed 250mph+ but abandoned selling them.

I requested some information on the Homebuilt Airplanes site, HomeBuiltAirplanes.com, and three members, BJC, voidhawk9, and GeraldC, provided information: Thunder Mustang with a Falconer V12 and the Titan Mustang. I suggest you wander over to the HBA site for more information; there are active builders of replica warbirds over there.

Thanks, I will have to have a look over there on that.
