PS. There is one more line at the bottom but I can't work it out fully. IMHO it can be ... SUITABLE YOUR ( or FOR ) ......CATION

However the line isn't the standard one applied of the factory. In these three shots taken in the different time periods the line was added later. It looks like the early one did have it while the later one didn't.

Still trying to decipher the inscription there. The longer I look at it the more getting convinced there is .... SUITABLE YOUR APPLICATION. Certainly I may be wrong but ...

I found a clear photo of this map on a Revell model airplane kit. I've pretty much recreated it, but there are a couple of things I don't quite understand. Why is Catania positioned above Sicily on the map? It's actually located on the coast in the eastern part of the island.

The map you found is tha same I found too. Unfortunately it is incorrect in many details. For instance these cloudlets seen in the map were the bomb blasts actually with names of targests. Their bottom tips indicated the targets hit. Also there were larger patches with names of countries like Turkey etc. But not marked as the decal map has. What is more there were the smaller bomb blasts with names of targets or dates of the missions there. The icons on the map look somilar both the large and smaller ones so they used the templates for painting them. Additionally please make a focus on that there was a black silhouette of a bomber at the bottom and a quite wide line going somewhere from Tunisia to Grece. Unless it is a shadow made by an antenna. To sum up .. the decal map is trumped up and should be edited. Here below enlarged shots. The map layaut can be noticed.
