Bat WWII Radar Guided Missile

Attached are a couple of photos I took of a WWII Bat radar guided missile. In WWII the missiles were launched from PB4Y-2 patrol bombers of VPB-109. The bat was very sophisticated, featuring fire-and-forget radar guidance. These shots were taken in the China Lake Naval Weapons Center Museum, and I hope it survived the recent strong earthquakes in the area.

Oddly enough, the Bat was developed by the Bureau of Standards.
