The number 1161 is too high for a Bf109E series aircraft.
It is not always written on the Luftwaffe boards with aircraft numbers W.nr ..there are duplicate plates.In my case, I also think that this is not the number of the plane.There is no similar number for the lost Bf 109E in the place where the plate was found.In the photo, plates with aircraft numbers without an inscription W.nr .The aircraft's serial number would have the word "Werk-Nr" followed by the numbers.
