Bf109E MG17 cowling guns

Hi guys, the MG17 on the cowling of the Emil were synchronised, does anyone know what the rate of Fire was?

I believe it was 1,200rpm.

Really? For a synchronized gun? I would have expected about half that.

The MG17 had a max. RoF of 1,200 rpm.
The MG131 had a max. RoF of 900 rpm.

Either MG's maximum Rate of Fire was dependent on the engine's RPMs.

17 rounds per second is a cyclic rate of synchronized fire of 1,020 rounds per minute each.

AFAIK the ROF of syncronized guns change with the rpm of the engine.
