The battle in the skies over Britain was being fought furiously 75 years ago during the dark days of the Second World War.

And among the pilots defending the Westcountry's cities, ports and bases was 307 Squadron at Exeter, made up of Polish airmen who had fled the Nazi occupation of their homeland.
But 75 years ago this week, the squadron suffered a period of heavy losses, which became known as the 'Black Week'...
